Where are we?Heading north from the city, head out onto the Mitchell Freeway (route 2 ) all the way to the end. Turn right at the end at Burns Beach Road, stay to the left at the roundabout then turn left into Wanneroo Road (60). You are now on the Wanneroo Road heading north.
Travel for approximately 120km. You will pass the Yanchep National Park, and several small coastal towns on your left as you head north.
One town worth a quick visit is the picturesque township of Guilderton. Here the Moore River meets the ocean it has a small hamlet of houses and a caravan park. You will also pass the turning for ledge Point. This is where the Ledge Point to Lancelin Ocean Classic marathon race begins, and it is worth checking out the beach and ocean before arriving in Lancelin. Lancelin is a further 12km north of Ledge Point. On arrival in town you will find everything you will need is close at hand.
