2nd Wind Sailboards have donated an RRD board to give away at the 2010 Lancelin Ocean Classic marathon presentation. The winners name will be drawn from a hat; to have your name in the hat you must have entered the 2010 Lancelin Ocean Classic Marathon in any category apart from Elite and be at the presentation which will be at the finish line at approximately 4pm. This is another great incentive to register today as you may walk away with a new RRD board. some valued at close to $3000
Big prize money increase for the Elite competitors of the Lancelin Ocean Classic.
The Lancelin Ocean classic is proud to announce a major increase in prize money for the Elite competitors of the Lancelin Ocean Classic.
The prize money will be as follows:
Elite Marathon Mens
1st $6000
2nd $2000
3rd $1000
4th – 10th - $500 for each place
Elite Marathon Ladies
1st $2000
2nd $750
There will also be small cash prizes for the Open and Master total prize pool for these 2 divisions is $900
Elite Waves Mens
1st $3000
2nd $1500
3rd $500
Elite Waves Ladies
1st $1000
2nd $500
This brings the total prize pool to well over $20,000.

Lancelin Ocean Classic secures $80,000 TV production
The team from the Lancelin Ocean Classic are happy to confirm they have secured an $80,000 TV production of the event.
The event will be produced by one of Australia’s best production companies Eurocam which has put together shows for events such as the RedBull Air Race, Australian Surf Life saving titles, Red Bull Air Raid, Tour Down Under and many other major events. We will be also be using people in the video industry that are experts in the sport of Windsurfing as consultants.
The show has already secured coverage to countries all over the world including Europe, USA, Asia and Australia with a viewing audience of 10 million people. I am sure you will all agree this is massive news for the Lancelin Ocean Classic, Lancelin, Tourism for the Area and most of all the sport of Windsurfing.
Watch this space as there is also plenty of other big news on the way in the next couple of days.
All I can say that without a doubt this will be the biggest Lancelin Ocean Classic is its 25 year history.
Overflow Camping Area
The Shire of Gingin has approved the use of Pioneer Park as an overflow camping area for the duration of the regatta, for people who do not have accommodation booked.
Pioneer Park is situated in Miragliotta Street, Lancelin, off Gingin Road behind the hall.
The area is designated for camping and there are toilets available.
Remember this is a temporary camping area only.
Please dispose of rubbish in bins provided and NO FIRES
